The prestigious Golden Elephant trophy.

The first annual Golden Elephants ceremony kicks off tonight with the unveiling of the first batch of nominees, in categories that range from music to politics and everywhere in between.  Here are the categories:

Unlike the “Best Of” series, these awards are given by the panel at The Conservative Journal.  Panel members include myself (Rick), the new and aspiring Conservative Journal writers, Michael, Suzannah, and Angelica, as well as 16 other bloggers and “industry experts”, a.k.a. people who have been in radio.  We’ve all spent good deal of time ensuring that only the best are awarded a prestigious Golden Elephant.  Eligibility details are further explained before each winner is announced.

Every day, nominees for several categories will be announced.  Once all nominees are released, the winners will be announced at the beginning of January.  Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter so you don’t miss the results as they come out!
