TCJ Honorary Plaque of Fail: Miley Cyrus The All-Knowing Psychic Woman

At the young age of 17, Miley is so wise.

Miley Cyrus seems to be getting more attention lately for her antics than for her singing.  Her latest in a string of unfortunate events is calling Angelina Jolie and Madonna out for what she calles “poor parenting”.  While the two may not be up for parent of the year anytime soon, Miley’s claims are totally off-base.

In a recent interview, Miley said she questions their parenting because they allow their children to be on camera all of the time.  Let’s take a moment to dissect this.  First of all, Miley is only 17; she’s not a wise old sage and even more importantly she’s not a parent.  So she really has no right to be passing out parenting information.  Secondly, everything Miley has, career-wise, can be accredited to her parents putting her in the spotlight early and often.  She was only 9 when she was featured on her dad’s TV show.  All of her success has been achieved as a child, and her parents allowed her to do that.  Even more confusing is that Miley’s younger siblings are in front of cameras quite often with their YouTube show.

Not only does Miley need to practice what she preachers, but Angeline and Madonna also take pretty great strides to keep their children OUT of the spotlight.  They don’t parade them around at all, really.  The only pictures we see of them are paparazzi shots.  So where exactly Miley is coming from eludes me.
