Mail Bag: Man, It’s Great to be Loved

I’ve been painfully behind on e-mails to The Conservative Journal, so I’ve been spent the last few days going through them to try and catch up.  I’m not quite through checking them, but I’ve found some real doozies I’d like to share with everyone.

While the title can mislead you, the vast majority of mail I’ve received is of the hate variety.  I don’t know if it’s just easier to fire off rude, unfounded phrases, or if I’m doing something way wrong.  Regardless, I don’t take any of it personally and I’m certainly not losing sleep over it.  I think it’s more funny than anything.  What’s so surprising is not really what they’re saying, but the rather the sheer volume of e-mails we’ve gotten for a site of this size.  But that’s not to say everything is negative, I’ve got some great readers that e-mail me often with links and responses, and I appreciate that more than they know.  Anyway, without further ado, here are the most inspiring, uplifting, and positive e-mails I’ve received over the past few months:

Rodolfo P. sure thinks The Conservative Journal’s a winner:

You and your “blog” are completely useless.  You say nothing worth reading and I don’t see why anyone even cares.

Jamie G. questions our facts:

Typical tea-bagger spreading propaganda and lies.  People like you are the reason our president is struggling.

Come on Jamie, be a little more descriptive.  What propaganda and lies have we been spreading?  For the last we’ve mostly posted entertainment articles and “Best of” stuff.  That’s opinion based, so no lies there.  And no, I assure you, Barack’s got that handled all on his own.

Barbara Q. takes it a step further and wonders why we even try:

It only took me 5 minutes on your blog to realize you’ve accomplished nothing since you started blogging.  You’ve just retread the Conservative talking points and spread your lies and nonsense.  Do you really think we can learn from the party crashers?  Despicable.

Again with that “l” word.  Barbara, Barbara, Barbara, the 10 Things We can Learn From the Party Crashers post was a joke.  Sorry if you’re to “intellectual” too pick up on humor.

That’s only the beginning.  Click “keep reading” below to enjoy some more hate mail, including the most profound message of all.

Ty B. hates blogs in general.

Why would anyone read blogs.  real news comes from newspapers and CNN.

Well Ty, I hate to tell you but you read this blog to find our e-mail address, so go ahead and answer your own question.

Eunice blames it on the Limbaugh.

Limbaugh is an idiot.  He’s crazy and he just wants our president to fail.  The people who follow him are just as bad though.

Eunice, read up before you e-mail!  We don’t like Limbaugh either.

And finally, for my favorite of all…………

David W. cut straight to the point.

I hate conservatives.  I hate you.

Well said, Dave!

I’ve got PLENTY more great e-mails just like the ones above, so don’t worry!  Check back in the future for updates.

Ha! Those are hilarious! These people filled with so much hate sure have a lot of time on their hands to be so nasty.

    • I know! It amazes that so many people would go through the trouble to send an e-mail just to tell us we’re stupid, or more importantly that they hate us. I’m glad we’re not very sensitive!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting, hope to see you again!

I have to say that what Ty B. wrote made me chuckle a little. I hope he has fun wandering the zillions of blogs on the internet and sending emails to all of them.

    • That was my second favorite, behind only David’s insightful comment. I’m kind of hoping some of these people will stop by and fire off another piece of hate mail. It made catching up on over 2000 e-mails a little less painful.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting, hope to see you again!

Backtracked through your posts and found this hate-mail on your hall of fame. I’m sure there’s no shortage of hate-mail for any political blogger, so way to have fun with it rather than just getting angry. I’ll keep my eyes open for the next round.
