Let me preface this by saying that we at The Conservative Journal have been quite vocal in the past about our dislike for Rush Limbaugh as a commentator. Like Sean Hannity, he’s obnoxious in all of the wrong ways. However, with the recent news that he’s in a Hawaii hospital suffering from heart problems people are taking it way to far and wishing for his death. As despicable as that my be, we’re not at all surprised. Just as people wrongly wish death upon Barack, there will be PLENTY that come out trying to pull the plug on Rush.
So if this is to be expected, why even bother calling attention to it? Well, what’s more intriguing about this occurrence is the hypocrisy that abounds with these ill wishes. I’m sure all of you can remember several months back when Rush declared proudly that he wanted Barack and his policies to fail. Well after, the world pretty much fell apart. Take the apocalyptic scenes from 2012 and multiply them by one million and that’s pretty much what happened all around the country. I’d be willing to bet big money that a lot of the same people who attacked Rush for those statements are also the ones wishing death upon him. And while no one has to answer to me on their wrongdoings, wishing death upon someone is a little more harsh than wishing political failure.
While Twitter is ablaze with comments asking for Rush’s expiration, let’s not forget just a few short months ago when Twitter and other outlets were teaming with comments calling Rush a myriad of vulgarities and insults for saying “I want Barack to fail.” Once again, hypocrisy lives on and shows no signs of slowing up any time soon.
