New Year, 2010: As with the weekly contests, we’ll be doing a lot more “Thoughts from the Blogosphere” posts this year and beyond. I know we enjoy reading this at other blogs, so hopefully everyone will enjoy this too. As always, there are positive and negative posts and we’ve posted just a snippet of the article. Sarah Palin signs with Fox News. Seriously, I’m gobsmacked, didn’t see that one coming.
This is a sign that she means to stir the political pot in the years to come but knows she can never run for president. She is looking to make money on her teabagging fame. Where will all her supporters turn now for a candidate in 2012?
Fox will obviously try to keep a tight leash on Palin, but any extemporizing will lead her straight through the looking-glass, into a world where up is down and lies are truth. Jon Stewart will have a field day. Let’s hope there are lots of Daily Show viewers among likely swing voters.
I think this puts the 2012 talk to rest. Well, probably not, but it should. One thing is becoming crystal clear about Palin: She understands that she has a brand worth building, and that doing so could reap tremendous financial benefits. This makes it all too obvious that she really doesn’t care about becoming president.
I would say that Palin’s Fox deal not only sends a crystal clear message that she is NOT running for office ever again (especially not a national one) but that it is so predictable and expected that I almost don’t even feel like writing this post. Really.
Hmm…. a great forum for electoral spinning 2 years before the election. A clever move,me thinks. It would be first….
This is the equivilent to Ellen joining Idol. She didn’t NEED to but it aint gonna hurt NOBODY’S pocket or the ratings.
How cool is this? Outstanding. This should make Geraldo and Shep spit. Of course, the MSM and lefty loons have gone into seizures. They hate here with an intensity bordering on insanity.
For Fox, the addition gives its conservative political base one more reason to tune in, as Palin is the darling of many sectors of the Republican Party
The news has been spoken – Sarah Palin will become a contributor to Fox News. Let the negative carping from the left begin. I look forward to her contributions on Fox News. Let them begin.
That’s all for now. I think it’s clear that negative posts are a little easier to find than positive. I don’t think it reflects the blogosphere’s view, people are just more likely to post about this if they hate Sarah Palin than if they’re a huge fan.

I’m conservative and I like Palin to a degree. I think this move discredits Fox News a bit…liberals will say it proves their right wing bias…which may be a bit true by adding Palin. Of course, the other networks like CNBC and CNN, NBC don’t seem to mind displaying their blatant bias…so why should we conservatives. I worked for years with a conservative radio show….I think media in general causes more problems than their worth.
After my excitement settled, that thought crossed my mind. But then I remembered that Don Imus was recently added to Fox Business and there wasn’t much outcry from that. Sarah is much less controversial than Imus, so I think this’ll be fine.

I’m glad she’ll be expressing her opinions on Fox. I like her personally, but would really like to see/hear a whole lot more from her if she’s considering running for president.
