American Idol Top 20- Elimination Predictions: Jermaine Sellers, John Park, Haeley Vaughn, and Lacey Brown

After the Top 24 performances, both the girls and the guys had nowhere to go but up.  That was made even more evident this week by the fact that, even though the guys still weren’t great, they seemed to be awesome in comparison to the first live show suck-fest.  The girls were a different story.  The Top 10 of our finest lady singers kept my attention throughout the show (Even Haeley Vaughn’s wretched performance was attention grabbing) and made me think for the first time this year that I may really enjoy this season.  Having said that, someone still has to go home.  In trouble this week are..

Tim Urban, Jermaine Sellers, Todrick Hall, and John Park; all of whom have been less than stellar since week 1.  Out of those four, I’d have to say Jermaine and John are most at risk of getting the axe; Jermaine was beyond terrible and John is boring and forgettable.  Todrick is different enough that he’ll get votes, so this week might one week before he expires.  Tim is benefiting not only from the “Vote for the Worst” vote (Goooo Worsters!), but he’s also getting the tween vote and the “well he’s a nice guy” vote.  Unfortunately but fortunately for Tim, none of those votes are based on his “talent.”  Jermaine is consistently terrible in an “OH MY GOSH” kind of way, not to mention he’s got a terrible personality.  I’ll bet my supper that he’s headed home after tonight.  It’s kind of said that he’s hitting the road though; sure he sucks but he induces laughter like no one else on the show this year.

Haeley Vaughn and Lacey Brown seem like shoe-ins for the bottom vote-getting females, but stranger things have happened.  Paige Miles is a really good singer, but America hasn’t been able to get to know her, which is going to work as a disadvantage.  The outliers for elimination are also Katie Stevens and Didi Benami, both of whom I would have assumed to sail right through to the Top 12 just two weeks ago.  Katie has a pretty strong fanbase, so I think she can recover from two weeks of weak performances.  Didi also has a strong base, and the judges over-criticisms and her near meltdown will work to her advantage.  Still, American is fickle and stranger things have happened.  I am fairly certain, however, that the two eliminatees will be taken from the 5 aforementioned Idols.  My final guess:  Haeley Vaughn and Lacey Brown.

i don’t think jermaine was terrible like you say…..thats not how you judge someone…i don’t know why he didn’t get votes, but this guy for me has vocal power like noone else….i guess america is only for the choclate lovable type of singer with a mediocre voice….just like kris allen as lambert was way ahead of his league….its sad indeed…..
