American Idol Top 11 Recap & Elimination Prediction: Andrew Garcia & Paige Miles in Danger

Oh wow, I don’t even know where to begin.

I’d like to first apologize for not recapping last night’s episode of American Idol; it was just too bad.  I can say with all honesty and without any exaggeration that that was the absolute worst episode I’ve ever seen of American in my multi-year history of watching this show.  It was a total abomination.  If the producer’s decided to cut 10 of the contestants and leave Siobhan, I’d be totally okay with that.

Now I know what you’re saying… OMG WHAT ABOUT CRYSTAL??  Well, I’m not and have never been on the Bow-er-sox Train as so many seem to be.  I think she’s an exceptional bar singer at best who shows no relevance or desire to push herself.  She’s going to have to take a major chance and perform well to get me on her side of this thing.  And while she may have outsung everyone last night, including Siobhan (whom I was not extremely impressed with, vocally), she ranks in the bottom tier in keeping me on the edge of my seat.

With the exception of Didi and the aforementioned two singers, I am left wondering why the other 8 even made the Top 12.  Several of the 8 can sing, but they have no idea who they are as artists.  A few of the 8 (Paige, Tim, Andrew) don’t have as much talent added together as Siobhan has in the smallest cell of her pinky toe.

Having said all of that, unfortunately only one person can go home.  I have a good feeling that person will be Andrew, considering he just kind of got lost in the mix.  Paige gave one of the worst performances I’ve ever heard on ANY stage and got totally destroyed by the REKS monster (My cool abbrev. for the four judges), so that will probably earn her a good portion of the sympathy votes.   And honestly, no matter how terrible Paige is, I’d MUCH rather see her on the Idol Summer Tour than see Andrew sing about “rubbing him the right way”  (See, Top 16 Performance).  That is, if I ever decided to go to one of those concerts.  I think I’ll just wait and see Siobhan, she’s the only one I care about.  Oh and maybe Didi.  She cool.
