Goodbye, Didi. America may not have liked your soul-lite voice, but I sure did.
Come on, AMERICA! GET WITH THE PROGRAM. How in the world can you let someone like Andrew Garcia go his whole American Idol career without one trip to the bottom 3? Especially over someone like Didi, who is miles ahead of him in relevance. And no, Andrew, having a few subscribers on YouTube does not make you relevant. I’m not even going to mention Tim Urban because I respect Vote for the Worst and their efforts to make this season slightly more entertaining. Would I rather have Didi next week over Tim? Heck yeah! But I learned during the time of Scott Savol that “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em” is a really good philosophy.
When they announced Didi as the lowest vote getter I knew she was gone; the “judges save” is more like a Christmas gift that says “Don’t open until Crystal is singing for her life at 9:57 EST”. Unfortunately, we lost a contestant who could have really been something; just look at her close out performance of “Rhiannon”. It was miles better than anything Katie, Andrew, and that Vote for the Worst guy have showed us. Regardless, I’m fighting a losing battle with Season 9 and unless Siobhan really steps up the weird and awesome next week, my desire to watch this show will dwindling to sub-zero levels.

I actually really think “Vote for the Worst” is making this season a lot of fun, too! Why not, right? It’s nice to spice things up a bit when a show’s in it’s umpteenth season.
I think Urban is the worst of them. I found Didi to be talented and interesting but somewhere down the line it ends up with Crystal, Mike, Soibhan and Casey in the top four. I think the 16 year old Aaron will be voted off once and the panel will save him. DeWyce(sic) is the dark horse. He has an appeal kinda like Kris Allen. With more of the right music and a little more relaxation working for him, he could grab the gold.

Didi was week compared to the others. It was just a matter of time before she was gone. I actually thought she was going to be cut a couple weeks back.
