This race has been one of the Democrats major targets of 2010 because of the man who previously held it:  Barack Obama.  It would obviously be a hit for Dems if the seat held by their chosen one and sitting President Obama went to the Republicans.  Unfortunately for Democrats, their efforts seem to have been in vain.  Over the past few days Kirk has risen in the polls and pushed to an over 4 point lead on Giannoulias.  Without a successful “get out the vote effort” (read, “voter fraud”) by the Democrats, the Republican will take this one.
