News and Politics

Three Southern Miss players shot

Thankfully, each of the 3 players who were shot are stable and expected to make a full recovery in Hattiesburg, MS.  USM had a big win on Saturday against Central Florida, so I hate that this had to bring down their emotional high.

Man declared dead in 1994 arrested in kidnapping case

Well, Mississippi sure is in the news a lot today!  How do you mistakenly declare someone dead?  According to the CNN writeup, the man was declared dead by his family, so was there no follow up from the Coroners office to confirm that?  Incompetence that results in a causality is not acceptable.

Rangel Used PAC Money for Legal Defense

Charlie Rangel’s life motto is simple: Ethics Shmethics.  Representative Rangel has broken just about every ethics law there is to break, and somehow he still holds his congressional seat.  Rangel deserves a fair speedy exit out of the front doors of the capital building.

Entertainment

Bill Clinton Joins Cast of The Hangover 2

Well, well, well, if America’s most morally forthright president isn’t making his first little adventure into acting.  I can’t wait to see how he parodies himself with this one.  I’ll wager that it’s going to either be the typical and cheap affair joke, or some more clever jab about not inhaling his weed.

Environmentalist Complain Palin Gets ‘Too Close’ to Bears In Filming TV Show

It’s amazing to see how far the left will go to try and make Sarah Palin look bad.  This latest attempt has absolutely no potential to hurt Palin, as the only people who care about her proximity to bears are the people who made this claim.

Is Newsweek.com Finished?

And another one bits the dust!  Newsweek and The Daily Beast are in the midst of a merger, which leaves Newsweek.com hanging in the balance.  I mean, it wouldn’t make sense for one entity of Newsweek/The Daily Beast to operate to separate websites by different names.  That’s just one more of Obama’s biggest fans to go by the wayside.
