New Beginnings: Political Commentary, Product Reviews, a New Book Club, Blogging 101, AND MORE!

Along with our new web address (that’s http://theconservativejournalblog.com), we’ve got some other exciting changes on the horizon at The Conservative Journal.  For starters, we’ll be introducing some new staff writers in the near future as we say goodbye to the always entertaining entertainment writer, Angelica.  Look for a formal intro for each of the new writers in the near future.  We’ll also be completely overhauling the weekly schedule here at The Conservative Journal by introducing some exciting new feature articles and doing away with some of the dead weight:

• Political Opinion/News: First and foremost, we’ll put the political discussion at the forefront.  With a huge election coming up in 16 months, the current political environment couldn’t be any dicier, nor any more interesting.  We’ll be right there with you along the way giving you the latest from a true Conservative viewpoint.
• Gear Grinders: As I’m faced with more and more ignorance in the world every day, I find myself becoming more and more frustrated with the human race.  This feature will provide me with an outlet to let all of you complain about imbeciles and idiots on a daily basis.
• TCJ Book Club: Similar to the now-defunct TCJ Library, this Book Club is better than OPRAH’s.  We recommend political books on an as-we-read-them basis and provide you with a link to purchase the book for CHEAP on Amazon.com.  We’ll also let you know when we start the book so you can read along too.
• Product Reviews: We’ve dabbled with this in the past, but with the new Conservative Journal, you get an all new product reviewer and an exciting new partnership with Amazon.com.  We promise, this won’t get spammy; TCJ Product Reviews will be on the latest and greatest new thing that we think you’ll be interested in.  When you purchase products reviewed on The Conservative Journal, a fraction of that purchase will go to us and give us the money we need to keep the site afloat.. and buy pizza with.
• Money Mondays: Despite what some may want you to believe, our economy isn’t out of the woods yet.  To ease your case of the Mondays, we’ve got financial tips coming at you each week to help you grow your portfolio… whatever that means.
• Blogging: So a few people around the internet have said our blogging story is pretty cool… thanks, I think?  As our 3 year anniversary nears, we’ll be sharing more of our story and more advice on how you to can have your own successful blog, regardless of subject matter.
• Top <insert number here> Lists: We’ve done this in the past, but look for it now to occur more regularly.  A good example of these types of posts is the recent 7 Reasons I Hate the Summer Solstice from yesterday evening.  Just fun, goofy, light posts to make you smile (or poop).
