In the fall of 2008, just before the Democrats delivered a shalacking Republicans didn’t soon forget, Dr. Rick Johnson had a dream. Said dream involved taking the internet by storm with witty, insightful, and, most of all, conservative content, hosted on his weblog The Conservative Journal. Of course, Rick’s dream proved to be too lofty, and here he sits. In the top 200,000 websites in the U.S. Basically on the outer edge of obscurity. But with the resolve of The Gipper himself, Rick muddles on.
Politically, Rick is closely in-line with his idol, Ronald Reagan. Rick values fiscal responsibility and limiting the reach of government in the lives of the people. While Rick finds himself on the right side of many social issues, he finds little reason to bring such issues into serious political discussions until the big stuff- economy, jobs, budget, foreign affiars- is signed, sealed, delivered.
Rick Johnson spent much of his time from the early 90s to 2008 thinking U.S. politics was a reality show on Bravo. It wasn’t long after launching The Conservative Journal in 2008 that he realized that since U.S. politics would be beat in the ratings by Bravo!’s show about Kathy Griffin, it would instead be relegated to Telemundo, where it would air untranslated.

Hi
I was wondering if you be interested in taking a look at my political comic In the Wake of Heroes – http://www.inthewakeofheroes.blogspot.com
In the Wake of Heroes follows Colonel Jason Roman as he watches his buddies experience the harsh truths of ageism, family neglect and the issues of senior living. Tired of seeing his generation left behind by society, the Colonel recruits a wild bunch of geriatrics and launches a full scale kamikaze-style operation across the globe. In return, he hopes to provide his peers with some final moments of dignity and a fully funded military funeral.
Thanks
Lee
